The popular American R&B singer, songwriter and entertainer has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after the final hearing of his federal sex trafficking case in the United States of America.
The ‘Slow Wind’ hit-maker who was convicted in September 2019 has today, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 been sentenced to prison after the U.S. District Court Judge presided by Ann Donnelly heard statements from the victims.
R. Kelly was found guilty of racketeering, including acts of bribery and sexual exploitation of a child and of separate charges of sex trafficking. The sentence will keep superstar who is now 55 years (born Sunday, January 8, 1967) behind bars into his 80’s.
